The LPG safety crackdown near Lahore has led to the sealing of two illegal manufacturing units. OGRA, along with district officials, found major safety violations during surprise checks in March 2025. The inspections focused on three companies making LPG equipment.
Inspections Uncover Violations
The teams visited Elite Metal Tek (Pvt.) Ltd., Hi-Tek Manufacturing (Pvt.) Ltd., and Unique Metal Engineering Services Ltd. All three units were located on the outskirts of Lahore.
They discovered several violations. These included the making of oversized LPG bowzers and the lack of safety systems. Some units were working without required licenses. Even worse, they didn’t have approvals from the Deputy Commissioner or Civil Defence.
Two Units Sealed by Authorities
Due to serious violations, Hi-Tek Manufacturing and Unique Metal Engineering Services were sealed. The local administration took quick action. Meanwhile, OGRA said it will begin further legal steps. These could include canceling licenses.
This action shows OGRA’s strong commitment to safety. It also warns others not to break rules.
Ongoing Safety Measures
OGRA said it will continue surprise inspections across the country. The goal is to improve safety in LPG equipment manufacturing. They have promised zero tolerance for those who ignore standards.
These inspections are important for public safety. Unsafe equipment can cause serious accidents.
Why Safety Standards Matter
Using poor-quality equipment is risky. It can lead to explosions and fire hazards. That’s why rules exist to protect people.
Businesses must follow these laws to keep workers and users safe. Moreover, such actions build public trust.
Authorities Remain Alert
This is not the first time OGRA has taken action. But this time, the step is stronger and more public. It sends a clear message. Safety can’t be ignored.
