UAE 5-year visa is now available for Pakistani citizens. The United Arab Emirates has updated its visa rules. Now, Pakistanis can apply for a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa. This new policy removes the need for a local guarantor or host.
Visa Problems Solved After Meetings
The policy change followed several meetings. UAE diplomats and Pakistani officials discussed the issue. During a visit to Karachi, UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi shared the news. He spoke at a meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori.
Al-Zaabi said that visa complications had been resolved. He invited the governor to the UAE visa center in Karachi. He also praised development efforts in the province. The visit included a flag-hoisting event and a tree plantation drive. These activities aimed to improve relations between both countries.
Visa Centers Are Now Accepting New Applications
Diplomatic sources say UAE visa centers in Pakistan have started the new process. The five-year visa can now be applied for. Applicants do not need a sponsor in the UAE anymore. This makes it easier for tourists, families, and business travelers.
Every year, thousands of Pakistanis travel to the UAE. Many go for work, holidays, or family visits. Over two million Pakistanis live in the UAE. They play a big role in the country’s workforce and economy.
Why the UAE Made Visa Rules Stricter Before
Last year, the UAE made it harder to get visas. This was because of several problems. Some people used fake documents. Others overstayed their visas or were involved in begging.
The UAE also raised concerns about some social media posts. They were not happy with content from some Pakistani influencers, especially on TikTok.
Due to these issues, many visa applications were rejected. A Senate panel in Pakistan discussed this in December. They said travelers to the UAE had to get police verification before flying.
Even though rules were strict, there was no official ban. But people had to meet tougher conditions to prove they had a good reason to visit.
How to Apply for a 5-Year UAE Visa
To apply for the UAE 5-year visa, Pakistanis need to prepare a few documents:
- A confirmed return ticket
- Hotel booking or proof of where you’ll stay
- Bank statement showing $5,000 for the last six months
- Proof of property (if you have any)
- AED 3,000 refundable deposit
- Valid passport and national ID
Kids under 5 only need a photo. Those between 6 and 15 will have their photos taken at the center. Anyone older than 15 must visit the visa center for biometrics.
In 2025, the visa fee is $69 for Pakistanis. That’s about Rs. 19,000. Most documents must be submitted online. But for employment visas, the process is different.
Strong Diplomatic Support Helped This Happen
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, worked hard to fix this issue. He met UAE officials and helped ease the visa process for Pakistanis.
Officials believe this change will help many people. Last year, a lot of visas were rejected. This new rule gives relief to families and workers. Many rely on remittances from the UAE.
Over $5 billion comes to Pakistan every year from workers in the UAE. The easier visa rules could help boost this amount.
This update shows that ties between Pakistan and the UAE are improving. It’s a positive step for both countries.
