Textile Exports Rising

Textile exports rising in Pakistan is a strong sign of growth for the economy. In the fiscal year 2024–25, the towel export volume reached 226,335 metric tons, worth $1.082 billion. This marks a 2.61% increase from the previous year. The biggest push, however, came from ready-made garments.

Sharp Growth in Garment Exports

Ready-made garments led the rise. Over 80 million dozen garments were exported this year. That earned Pakistan $4.128 billion, compared to 75 million dozen last year worth $3.563 billion. That’s a big jump — 15.85% higher.

Garments Powering the Industry

This increase shows how important garments are for the textile sector. The growing demand from international buyers played a big role. Exporters also improved their manufacturing processes. These steps helped them deliver better quality and faster output.

Exporters Adapting to Market Needs

Despite challenges like high energy costs, Pakistani exporters are making smart moves. Many have started exploring new markets. Others are working on better designs and styles to meet global tastes. These efforts are keeping Pakistan competitive worldwide.

Government Role in Boosting Exports

Officials see this rise as good news. They suggest that cutting power costs and simplifying export steps could help even more. Incentives for value-added products are also key. If these supports grow, the export sector can reach even greater heights.
