A record number of tourists traveled to Swat and Kaghan during the Eid holidays. More than 700,000 visitors explored these stunning valleys. They came from different cities across Pakistan to enjoy the cool weather and breathtaking scenery.
Tourists Flock to Northern Pakistan
Many visitors arrived from Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Lahore. They visited famous spots in Swat such as Malam Jabba, Madyan, Bahrain, Kalam, Gabin Jabba, and Marghuzar. These locations are known for their natural beauty and relaxing atmosphere.
Security Measures Ensured a Safe Experience
To manage the large crowds, authorities enforced strict security measures. Malakand Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nasir Mehmood Sati confirmed that the police worked hard to ensure a safe and peaceful environment. This allowed tourists to enjoy their trips without any major issues.
Kaghan Valley Also Sees a Tourism Surge
Besides Swat, Kaghan Valley was another top destination. Travelers explored Naran, Saif-ul-Malook, and Babusar Top. These places are famous for majestic mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and fresh air. Families and adventure lovers enjoyed sightseeing, hiking, and photography.
Why Northern Pakistan Is a Tourist Hotspot
Northern Pakistan has become a favorite holiday spot. The pleasant summer weather attracts visitors escaping the heat of the plains. The region offers rich culture, delicious food, and friendly locals. More people are now choosing domestic travel instead of expensive trips abroad.
Growing Tourism Boosts Local Economy
The rise in tourism benefits local businesses. Hotels, restaurants, and transport services earn more income during peak seasons. Many local people find jobs in the tourism industry. This helps improve living standards in these areas.
Future of Tourism in Pakistan
With better infrastructure and promotion, tourism in northern Pakistan can grow even more. The government is investing in better roads, facilities, and security. This will attract even more domestic and international travelers in the future.
