Special Planning Authority: Punjab government is expected to launch Special Planning Authority to regulate land use and put an end to illegal housing societies across the province. The government aims to introduce strict zoning laws and improve urban planning for sustainable development. Government’s Plan for Urban Development
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a high-level meeting to finalize land-use regulations. The government will now enforce strict measures to stop unauthorized housing projects. Officials will closely monitor land use and take action against violations.
The new authority will work with local governments to improve planning policies. This will help ensure that all residential and commercial projects follow zoning laws, making cities more organized and livable.
Key Functions of the Punjab Special Planning Authority (PSPA)
The Punjab Special Planning Authority (PSPA) will focus on urban planning, zoning, and land-use regulations. The authority will:

Each district will have a special land-use committee led by the deputy commissioner. These committees will include representatives from:
- WAPDA
