The much-awaited Pink Moon 2025 will shine bright this weekend. It is the first full moon of spring. Although it is called the Pink Moon, it won’t appear pink. The name comes from pink flowers called phlox, which bloom in early spring.

This moon gets its name from nature. Pink wildflowers bloom around this time. They are a sign that spring has arrived. People used to connect this full moon with the blooming of these flowers. So, it became known as the Pink Moon.

The Pink Moon will peak on Saturday night, April 12. But in Pakistan, especially in Karachi, it will be best seen on Sunday, April 13. The moon will rise around 9:08 p.m. and stay bright all night. If the sky is clear, it will be easy to spot. You don’t need any special tools to enjoy the view.

This full moon is also called the Paschal Moon. It is important in the Christian calendar. That’s because it helps decide the date of Easter. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Paschal Moon. So, this moon holds both natural and religious value.
