The ICC’s process for selecting the Player of the Month involves both a global fan vote and insights from a panel of cricket experts, including Hall of Famers and seasoned international players. His competition for the October award included South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner, both of whom are highly regarded in international cricket. However, Noman’s exceptional performance against England set him apart, earning him the top spot.

In response to the award, Noman expressed deep gratitude, saying, “I am delighted to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month and deeply grateful to all my teammates who helped me put my best performances forward to help Pakistan win a historic home Test series against England.” His appreciation for his teammates reflects the unity and strength of Pakistan’s cricket squad. “It is always exciting to be a part of such memorable wins for your country,” he added, highlighting the pride and satisfaction that come with such a hard-fought achievement.

Noman’s performance didn’t just earn him an award—it also boosted his standing in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings. With his impressive record against England, he moved up eight spots, reaching a career-high ninth place with 759 rating points. This recognition in the rankings solidifies his place among the elite spinners and underscores the value he brings to the team.
