NADRA’s New Mobile App Launch Replaces Website for Better Security

The new NADRA mobile app is set to replace its Pak-ID website. This change improves security, prevents fraud, and makes it easier for users to access ID services. Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi announced that the new app will start working on January 17. This update is especially helpful for overseas Pakistanis.

Easy Access to ID Services

The NADRA mobile app offers all services previously available on the website. You can now apply for National Identity Cards (NIC), NICOP, POC, B-Forms, and FRCs using your phone. The app saves users time and effort with its quick and easy process.

Why the Website Was Shut Down

The Pak-ID website was often misused by fraudsters. They used fake platforms to forge documents and steal sensitive information. Moreover, the new mobile app includes stronger security features to prevent this misuse, making it safer and more reliable for users.

More Regional Offices for Better Access

NADRA is opening more regional offices to improve access. The plan includes to make new offices in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan operational by March 31. These offices will make it easier for people in remote areas to get services and resolve their complaints faster.

NADRA also plans to open offices in 19 more tehsils across Pakistan by the same deadline.

Improving Public Procurement

NADRA has partnered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) to improve transparency. The e-PAK system will now use biometric verification, thanks to NADRA’s partnership with the PPRA. Over 21,000 e-Sahulat centers will verify suppliers and bidders. This will benefit 35,000 people at first and grow to 300,000 soon.

24/7 Passport Services

NADRA has also introduced 24-hour passport counters at major centers. Karachi’s Nazimabad and Siemens Chowrangi centers already offer this service. More locations will be added soon.
