The NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) Biker Service is now available in Karachi, offering citizens a convenient way to renew their CNICs (Computerized National Identity Cards) and access other services without visiting NADRA offices. This initiative is a significant step in improving government services for the residents of Karachi.
How the NADRA Biker Service Works
The NADRA Biker Service allows Karachi residents to complete CNIC renewals and other NADRA services directly from their homes. However, to access the service, citizens can call the NADRA helpline to register. The service operates from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. A small additional fee of rupees one thousand (RS. 1000/-) is charged, on top of the regular document renewal costs.
Once the documents are processed, the bikers will deliver them directly to the applicant’s home. This eliminates the need for citizens to visit NADRA offices for collection.
Service Expansion in Karachi and Beyond
The NADRA Biker Service was first launched in Punjab and has now expanded to Sindh, starting in Karachi. Three motorcycles have been deployed in the city to provide this service. Plans are also in place to extend the service to other cities like Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas, further enhancing accessibility for more people in Sindh.
Availability of Services
While the Service offers various services, creating a new CNIC still requires a visit to NADRA offices. However, for renewals and other document-related tasks, the biker service ensures a more convenient option for citizens.
Conclusion
The NADRA Biker Service in Karachi brings essential government services directly to people’s doorsteps, making the CNIC renewal process easier and more accessible. Plus, with plans to expand further in Sindh, this service is a welcome development for many residents of Karachi.
