Mohsin Naqvi Invites US Cricket CEO to Pakistan, Offers Support for Cricket Development

Mohsin Naqvi recently met with USA Cricket Board CEO Johnathan Atkeison in Washington. They discussed ways to promote cricket in the United States. Naqvi assured Atkeison of full support from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in developing the sport.
PCB plans to provide training opportunities and strengthen cricket ties between Pakistan and the USA.
Plans for a Pakistan-USA Cricket Series
The two officials explored the idea of a Pakistan vs USA Cricket Series. They want to make the sport more popular in the US. Naqvi also invited American cricket coaches to Pakistan for training. This will help USA Cricket improve coaching standards and player development.
Naqvi also asked Atkeison to visit Pakistan during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will take place from February 19 to March 9. It will have 15 matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with some in Dubai. The much-awaited Pakistan vs India match is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.
PSL CEO Joins the Talks
PSL CEO Salman Naseer also attended the meeting. He spoke about PCB’s role in global cricket development. The discussion focused on ways PCB and USA Cricket can work together for future events.
Saim Ayub Injury Update
Naqvi also gave an update on Saim Ayub’s injury. He said that the young cricketer’s recovery is going well. Naqvi is personally monitoring his rehabilitation. He stressed that Ayub’s long-term fitness is the top priority, and they won’t rush his return.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025: A Big Opportunity
With the Champions Trophy 2025 coming soon, Naqvi wants to expand cricket’s reach. Bringing USA Cricket into major events will help grow the sport in North America.
PCB has announced that tickets for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be available from February 3. Fans can buy tickets from TCS Express Centers across Pakistan. ICC members will get early access before the public sale.

- Pakistan vs India match – February 23 in Dubai
- India’s group-stage matches and semi-final – Held in Dubai
- Final match – March 9, with tickets available after the semi-final
