Karachi gas supply during sehri will improve after emergency measures taken on the prime minister’s directives, said SSGC’s acting managing director on Monday. The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has worked to stabilize supply after residents reported severe shortages.
Amin Rajput, SSGC’s acting MD, confirmed that gas pressure has already improved and will continue to stabilize. Many households struggled with low gas pressure during sehri, making it difficult to prepare meals during Ramadan.
Government Steps in to Resolve Crisis
The prime minister called an emergency meeting with SSGC and SNGPL officials to discuss the gas crisis. Officials reviewed complaints and planned immediate steps to ensure a stable supply.
Following the meeting, SSGC announced a 10% increase in gas pressure to meet the city’s demands. This decision aims to ease the gas shortage during peak hours, especially in Ramadan.
Better Gas Pressure for Sehri and Iftar
Authorities have planned an early gas supply start for areas located at the end of distribution networks. These areas will now receive gas 30 to 45 minutes before sehri and iftar. This measure will improve pressure and help people prepare meals without disruption.
Citizens Hope for a Lasting Solution
Karachi gas supply during sehri has been a major concern for residents. Many households rely on gas for cooking, and shortages cause significant inconvenience. The recent measures bring hope for consistent supply during Ramadan.
SSGC continues to monitor the situation and plans further adjustments if needed. Citizens now wait to see if these steps will provide a permanent solution to the ongoing gas crisis.
