The ISPR has strongly condemned recent remarks by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. The Pakistan Army called the statements baseless and said they aim to distract the world from India’s actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and its treatment of minorities.
Indian Allegations Against Pakistan
General Dwivedi accused Pakistan of being the “epicenter of terrorism.” He also claimed that 60% of the terrorists killed in IIOJK last year were of Pakistani origin. ISPR rejected these allegations.
“Insinuating Pakistan as the epicenter of terrorism is not only contrary to facts but also an exercise in futility. It reflects India’s habit of blaming Pakistan for the indigenous reaction to state-sponsored brutality,” ISPR stated.
The military said such remarks are politically motivated and designed to mislead the international community.
India’s Actions in IIOJK
ISPR criticized India’s actions in IIOJK, where it said innocent civilians face constant oppression. It accused Indian forces of using excessive force and committing human rights violations.
The General Officer, in his earlier stint in IIOJK, personally oversaw brutal repression against Kashmiris

The military also called these statements an attempt to distract attention from India’s state-sponsored violence.
India’s oppressive policies and hate-speech conclaves provoke violence against minorities, especially Muslims
ISPR
It emphasized that these actions strengthen the resolve of Kashmiris to fight for their right to self-determination under UN resolutions.
Pakistan’s Message to India
ISPR urged India to adopt a professional and respectful approach in international relations. It reminded the world about a serving Indian military officer captured in Pakistan for allegedly planning terror attacks.
The fact that a senior Indian officer is in our custody for orchestrating terrorism is being conveniently ignored by Indian leadership. India should reflect on its own actions, including state-sponsored terrorism and human rights violations, rather than making baseless allegations against Pakistan

Pakistan’s Fight Against Terrorism
Pakistan continues its efforts to eliminate terrorism. In a recent operation in North Waziristan, security forces killed four terrorists involved in targeted killings and attacks on civilians. The military also recovered weapons and ammunition from their hideout.
Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace,

Call for Regional Peace
The Foreign Office (FO) also rejected the allegations made by General Dwivedi. It reiterated that IIOJK is a disputed territory under international law. The FO stated that the final status of IIOJK must be decided through UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
In this context, India has no legal or moral claim over Azad Jammu and Kashmir or Gilgit-Baltistan.
FO
It warned that provocative statements from Indian leaders harm regional peace and stability.
Instead of making false claims, India must reflect on its own involvement in terrorism and subversion abroad.
