Free Medical Camp Held for Female Farmers in Lodhran

Empowering Rural Women is at the heart of a new initiative launched by Fatima Fertilizer. Under its Sarsabz Tabeer program, it has introduced a healthcare pillar. The effort is in collaboration with the Government of Punjab and Mukhtar A. Sheikh Memorial Welfare Hospital (MASH).
This new step began with a free medical camp on June 26th at THQ Hospital Kehrorpaka, Lodhran. The event helped 400 people from low-income farming communities. They received check-ups, medicine, and care from specialists in gynecology, pediatrics, nephrology, and more.
Support From Local Leadership
The event was attended by key figures. Multan Division Commissioner Amir Kareem Khan, Assistant Commissioner Ashraf Saleh Khan, and Babar Khan from MASH all showed strong support. Noor Malik, Brand Manager at Fatima Fertilizer, was also present.
Most notably, 100 female farmers took part. This shows the community’s trust and eagerness to grow through such support.
A Holistic Empowerment Model
Sarsabz Tabeer has always worked on three areas:
Education
Skill development
Financial independence
Now, health has been added as a fourth pillar. It reflects the real needs of rural women who form 67.9% of Pakistan’s agricultural labor force.
Rabel Sadozai, Director of Marketing at Fatima Fertilizer, said, “Empowerment starts with good health. Without it, other opportunities remain out of reach.”
Training and Financial Help
Since the program began, over 2,000 women have received food processing training. They were taught how to start home businesses and reduce post-harvest losses.
To make this growth sustainable, Fatima Fertilizer signed an MoU with Akhuwat Foundation. Through this, women can now access loans, mentorship, and business advice.
Looking Ahead
More free health camps are planned. With continued support, these efforts can help build resilient farming families across Pakistan. Each step is small but important in changing lives for good.
