The Eid Cattle Market in Karachi has officially opened for 2025. The first truck of sacrificial animals arrived at the Northern Bypass livestock market. This marks the early start of preparations for Eid ul Azha.
Exciting Start to the Season
People, especially youngsters, welcomed the animals with joy. There was music, dancing, and a festive vibe. The energy was high, and many came to see the first cattle of the season.
Early Planning Brings Big Changes
Planning began right after Eid ul Fitr, which is earlier than usual. This year’s cattle market is managed by Shahab Ali. He shared that many improvements were made to help both buyers and sellers.
Lower Parking Charges Help Sellers
This year, parking charges were cut by 50%. This step helps transporters and vendors save money. Now, it’s easier and cheaper for them to bring animals to the market.
Vendors Can Bring Animal Feed
A big change is that vendors can now bring their own animal feed. Before, this was not allowed. This move supports traders and helps animals stay healthy and well-fed.
Free Veterinary Services for All
To protect animal health, free vet services are being offered on-site. Every animal will be checked to make sure it’s healthy. Buyers will feel safer knowing the animals are fit for sacrifice.
Clean Water for Every Animal
Animal care is a big focus this year. Each large animal gets 30 liters of water daily, and smaller animals like goats get 8 liters. This helps keep animals strong and well during their stay.
Thousands Expected to Visit
As the days move closer to Eid ul Azha, the market will get busier. People from all over Pakistan come to buy and sell animals here. The Northern Bypass market is known as the biggest cattle market in Karachi.
