Karachi Traffic Plan Issued for Champions Trophy 2025 & Tri-Nation Series – Routes, Parking & Restrictions

The Karachi traffic plan has been announced for the Champions Trophy 2025 and Tri-Nation Series matches at National Stadium Karachi. Traffic police have shared road closures, diversions, and parking locations to ensure smooth traffic flow. Fans and commuters should follow the plan to avoid delays.
Match Schedule & Road Accessibility
Matches will be held on February 12, 14, 19, 21, and March 1. On these days, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open for regular traffic. However, roads around the stadium will have restrictions.
- Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on match days.
- Traffic police will guide vehicles to alternate routes.
- Commuters should leave early to avoid congestion.
Designated Parking Areas
Spectators must park only in designated areas to avoid inconvenience. Parking locations include:
- Karsaz Route – Vehicles can park at National Coaching Center and China Ground (access via the flyover).
- Millennium Route – Visitors coming from Millennium Mall will use the same parking areas.
- New Town Route – Those arriving from New Town must also use these parking spaces.
Parking attendants will be present to guide visitors.
Traffic Diversions & Road Closures
To ease congestion, heavy traffic will be rerouted as follows:
- Sohrab Goth to NIPA
- Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square
- People’s Chowrangi to University Road
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on these roads:
- Karsaz to Stadium Road
- Millennium to New Town
- Stadium Signal to Hassan Square
Stadium Inauguration & Match Details
The National Bank Arena (formerly National Stadium Karachi) was officially inaugurated on February 11. The grand opening featured Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, and Sahir Ali Bagga. A fireworks and light show marked the celebration.
Pakistan will begin the Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand on February 19. Other matches in Karachi include:
- South Africa vs. Afghanistan – February 21
- England vs. South Africa – March 1
