Khyber Pass Digital identity has been launched by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to simplify how people access public services. This new platform uses QR codes and links with NADRA and other official databases. It helps residents get their documents and services online, without needing to visit many offices.
One System for All Services
The new Khyber Pass system allows users to access health, education, property, taxes, and licensing services with just one digital account. Citizens will no longer need to stand in long queues. Everything will be available through a single portal.
Currently, only three services are active. But the government plans to include all provincial services soon, including the Sehat Card. This shift will make life easier for many people.
Modern Governance with Technology
Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur inaugurated the platform at the Chief Minister’s House. He said this move is part of PTI’s vision for digital governance. He believes technology can make systems more transparent and services more efficient.
The Chief Minister also shared previous wins from similar efforts. For example, KP saved Rs. 3 billion by digitizing challans. They also cut Rs. 13 billion from Sehat Card costs by improving checks—even though more people used the service.
Saving Time and Money
Using one digital identity saves time for both citizens and the government. With Khyber Pass, documents don’t have to be submitted again and again. Records are updated in real time. This makes services faster and more accurate.
Gandapur also said the provincial treasury now holds Rs. 190 billion. This growth happened after his government took office. The savings show how smart planning and digital tools can improve financial health.
More Plans Ahead
The KP government aims to bring services to people’s doorsteps. They are focused on building a stronger IT department. Gandapur stressed the importance of public trust and promised to keep improving transparency.
The Khyber Pass platform is a big step toward better governance. It reduces red tape, increases trust, and brings convenience. As more services go online, the people of KP can expect faster, easier access to what they need.
