Solar panel efficiency just reached a new high. Chinese solar giant Longi revealed a powerful new module at the SNEC 2025 trade show in Shanghai. This panel delivers 700W of output and 25.9% module efficiency, setting a new standard in the solar industry.
Next-Gen Solar Technology
Longi’s new panel uses their unique HIBC solar cells. These cells hit a world record in April 2025 with 27.81% power conversion efficiency. The module is built on a full-size silicon wafer. This gives it more power per square meter.
The power density reaches 259 W/m². That means more electricity from less space. It also works better in hot weather thanks to a temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C.
