Field Marshal Asim Munir has officially become the second five-star general in Pakistan’s history. This title, Field Marshal, is the highest rank in the army. It is given for excellent service and strong leadership. His promotion is a big moment for the country.
Only the Second in History
The government announced this decision recently. Only one other person, Ayub Khan, received this title in 1959. This makes Asim Munir’s achievement very rare. It is a sign of great respect and honor in Pakistan’s military.
Why Asim Munir Was Chosen
General Munir led many important missions. One of them was Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous, which helped protect Pakistan’s national interests. His work showed deep planning, unity among military forces, and smart leadership.
