India Champions Trophy 2025 Jersey Revealed with ‘Pakistan’ Imprint

India’s Champions Trophy 2025 Jersey has been officially unveiled, ending weeks of speculation. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has showcased the new kit, which includes “Pakistan” as the host nation. Many expected India to exclude the name due to political tensions, but the design follows ICC rules.
BCCI Confirms ICC Compliance
There were rumors that India would not feature “Pakistan” on the jersey. However, ICC regulations require all teams to display the host nation’s name. The BCCI has now confirmed that Team India will follow these guidelines.
Star players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh posed in the new blue kit. The ICC also shared images of the jersey, which includes the Champions Trophy logo with “Pakistan” written on the right side.
India to Play Matches in Dubai
Even though Pakistan is the official host, India will not play any matches there. Due to security concerns, all of India’s games will take place in Dubai.
The tournament starts on February 19, with Pakistan playing New Zealand in Karachi. India will play its first match against Bangladesh on February 20. The much-anticipated India vs. Pakistan match is scheduled for February 23. Fans worldwide are eagerly waiting for this high-stakes encounter.
Morne Morkel Leaves India’s Coaching Staff
India has another challenge ahead of the Champions Trophy. Bowling coach Morne Morkel has left the squad due to personal reasons. Reports say he returned home after his father’s passing.
His absence could impact India’s preparations, as Jasprit Bumrah is not in the squad and Mohammed Shami has struggled with form. With Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana lacking ODI experience, India’s bowling lineup looks vulnerable. Morkel was at the training session on February 16 but left before the next session. It remains uncertain if he will return.
